I happened to be driving on 28 North today near Ashburn, and as I was stopping at a light I noticed a black MS3 coming up behind me. I changed lanes to make room, and before branching out to Rte. 7 east, I wanted to give a wave, so crept up on this guy. He just took off as if I were trying to race him. >_< Could the MS3 drivers in NoVA be *gasp* not so friendly? o_O

(or do I just look scary? -_-;; )

I'm sure your not scary Hikaru! :p That MS3 was prolly stolen and they were just afraid you would ID him/her.

i know ? i dont know what hapend it was like 3 in the afternoon and it said it was 10:a.m. it only did it on this thread

Not to sound like a jerk....but you drive too slow. It's stated right under your name :) I think you're reading into too much as well. You're drivin' along and "knight rider" is gaining on you as you approach the light (no big surprise so far - you're a slow driver). So you move over. The driver of the other car (we'll call him "Michael") must have interpreted this as an invitation to speed. Michael, like some people, actually had somewhere to be. Although Michael might have taken off with vigor after accepting your generous offer, even a normally accelerating driver might appear to be racing to you. But then again, who really knows what the other guy is thinking.....?

There's all kinds of people. MS3 owners probably think they're special, I know I would. I have yet to meet an MS3 owner, but I know a few people who've own(ed) Mazda's and they're a little "sharper" than the rest. Mazda's performance and brand image is understated and people who buy them know this - just think "exact opposite of Pontiac."

These forums have the best gathering of people - I'm new to here, but have seen some real friendly folks. A common interest. And Michael was probably just in a hurry.....to show off.

Well I happen to live in NoVA (alexandria), and I'm super friendly. In fact, I can't wait to meet another MS3 driver around here. The other night I pulled into Wendy's next to a spitting image of my car (except his was a sport). I was so excited to finally see another speed3, I went in Wendy's and asked the guy hey is that your mazda out there? I have the exact same car. He was just like "oh... cool. Nice car huh?" So anyway, hopefully I'll see you out on the road sometime and shoot you a wave.

I'm certain you're not suggesting that a Mazdaspeed 3 is better than Knightrider's K.I.T. Blasphemy.(fu)

I actually followed a guy home...

A few weeks ago I followed this guy who was driving a Silver MS3. Turns out he lived right down the street from me. First thing I said after he pulled in his driveway was "I'm not some nutcase I just noticed your MS3." He was very cool about it. I told him I had one on order and we shot the s*** for a half hour. Nice guy.

I'm anti MS3. Mz3 FTW!! My n/a brothers & sisters unite :) ahahahaha!

There are several MS3 drivers that come to our meets and they're all hella cool. Every MS3 driver I've encountered on the street, however, won't even make eye contact.
