What is the break in process to a new turbo?? this is my first new turbo.
Dude, you are going to need all the associated gaskets and seals, a different intake (or modify yours, it needs to be 3" in order to mate with the turbo inlet), you'll need to fabricate a small bracket to make the WGA work, you will need slim cooling fans (GT28rs won't fit with the factory fans), you'll probaly need bigger or extra injector(s) and it will definitely need to be tuned. After all of that, you may end up needing a new engine after running it for awhile. Your stock internals are weak. This is not really just a "pop & swap" project. Please do a lot of research before attempting this!
no break in technically. u can run oil through it before u put it on the car so its prelubed. but thats about it really.
Lol im almost dont with it but thx for the tips
Ok thx
"Lol" OK...
This is what the msp is working with rod/piston wise. I've seen them let go at less than 10psi from the stock turbo, however that is not always the case. Good luck to you.
Re-phrased "Absolutely must be primed before cranking!!"
finally got the SOB done last night, she was pulling hard as hell, cant wait to get it a good tune and get her to the dyno.
