1.9 60 foots are a decent. I cut a 14.0 @ 98 with a 1.9 60 foot (I was stock at the time). I think I was slipping out the clutch at 4500 rpm. 1.8 and 1.7 sixty foots are not uncommon around here, but I am still still afraid to drop off the clutch too quickly (it is my daily driver, and I already broke the bank buying it so I cant afford a 800 dollar clutch job). Also, I did NOT powershift at all, just drove it normally, albeit just a bit faster. Also, remember to take off the DSC. It does nothing but hurt you.
As for shifting, the MS6 drops power after 5600 rpm. In order to compensate for this, you will have to shift at different levels in each gear to stay in the powerband. Basically, what I did was:
Shifted out of first at 6500 rpm
Shifted out of second at 6000 rpm
Shifted out of third at 5800 rpm
Try doing this and adjust accordingly.
I chose to ride out 4th gear through the end of the quarter mile. Some people choose to short-shift into 5th gear to take advantage of the broad torque of the MZR engine. By my best calculations, if you were to shift into 5th, you would want to do that around 90 mph.
Dont feel bad. It takes some practice. My first run ever in the MS6 was a 15.0. I was completly embarassed. Go to the track atleast twice more, and you will get the hang of it. The 60 foot is the trickiest, and you have that down. Now work on the shifts.
