Getting ready for my MS3

Hey everyone! I'm finally ready to buy a MS3. I've been reading the forums a bit and I have a few questions. I've received a quote from one of the dealers in So Cal for $24150 for an 07 Black GT with no options. I've never bought a brand new car before, so I'm a bit worried. I don't have a car to trade in and will probably finance for 5 years. I read that some people are getting the 08's already, so is it worth waiting to see if the prices will drop for 07's? Also, what can I look out for when I'm negotiating? Has anyone had any good experiences from other So Cal dealerships that they can recommend? Any other suggestions, tips, or advice? Thanks in advance!

If they do a rebate for the 07s, I don't think is going to be anything crazy like what the dealers did with the ms6. $24,150 is not bad for GT, I payed $23k for my sport. And the rumor is there is no difference in the two year model, not even the color choices. Just my .02

I'm in Southern California and in the market for a Speed3 as well. I haven't done much leg work yet. I checked out one dealer just to see them up close but didn't speak to a salesman.

Nokkers, Is $24,150 with or without tax, title, and license?

That sounds good. I got my sport for about 700 under MSRP yesterday.

One of the dealers I spoke with told me that their 08's will have a huge mark up if they still have any 07's on the lot. Another gave me the same deal I got on the 07 but for an 08 ( I couldnt wait so I took the 07)!

From the email they sent me, it seems that price only includes the destination charge. The sales person that emailed me informed me that they are not going to mark up any of the speed3, so I guess that's a good thing.

I remember reading in this forum that someone said that the MS6 at one point and time were being discounted big time for there lack of sales. Does this sound familiar to anyone

The MS6 didn't sell as well as expected overall. A good indicator is the whether Mazda starts offering incentives for a vehicle to push sales. From what I remember, incentives for the MS6 were available mid-way through the 2006 model year. The MS3 didn't have any incentives for the entire 2007 model year so I wouldn't expect a super deep discount like the MS6.

Nokkers, what so cal dealer ?

Got mine from Browning Mazda... look for Sierlie of the internet department she'll hook you up. Tell her Archie sent you.

I got my 07 (like a month ago now) for 300 over invoice. you should be able to get a great deal since 08s are out

I got my 07 sport for $1300 less than MSRP ($21,700). Thats because I cheated them though. MAHAHAH.

This was my first new car as well. My advice is to take your time, make sure you let them know you don't "need" to buy this car, and you certainly don't have to buy it now. They will do what they can to make sure you buy it that day. Whenever I told them "I'll be back in a month", they always compromised the price for me.

The dealership that gave me the quote was Norco Mazda. I'm trying to get quotes from a few others dealerships to see if I can find one lower. Haven't done too much shopping around yet lol. This will be my first car, so I just want to make sure that I get a good deal!

I see Browning has some true red that I want, so I should get ready to contact her. How much did you get yours for Dichiee? sport or GT, any options?

I went down to Browning today, no MS3's in stock. The ones coming in are already spoken for.

i wouldn't expect any rebates for any of the 3's. and i also wouldn't expect any special interest rates for the speed3. i can't remember the 3's ever having a rebate.

before signing the contract make them add on it "conditional to testdrive by the customer"

thats the way to try before buying. Once you've tryed it you will jump on it ;)
