I mean its pretty much true thought? These people arent sitting behind desks at Nortel, or IBM. They are working as construction "helpers", landscapers, and at McDonalds, BK and Wendy's. Most are jobs that Americans think they are too good to do, or just too lazy to do.
As a culture American's want everything given to them without actually having to work hard for it. Instead of working for something, most folks would rather play the lotto or hope publishers clearing house will come to their front door.

Imus said "Nappy headed ho's" to be exact. And "Nappy Headed" anything is a racist remark, especially with a basketball team almost completely black. "Nappy head" walked hand and hand with "Ni66er" back in the day.
Imus wasn't the only one to take a blow though. Because of that comment, the "hip hop" community took a blow also. (Long overdo too) Imus made a valid point when he said "rappers use the word ho's and b#tchs all the time". When he said that, the black americans in high positions took that into account strongly. Didn't you see the funeral for the "N" word?...lol Hip hop has been taking a bashing now also. People like Oprah, Bill Cosby, Al Sharpton etc. fight to bring hip hop down to nothing. Not to mention the decline in sales for hip hop artists.
Thats NOT true. American workers do work hard and are willing to work but we are not stupid. What people need to understand is that employers, big companies, corporations do not want to pay fair wages and benefits to american workers, so they cut corners by hiring illegal workers/immagrants who would work for less. Then the employer does not have to worry about paying benefits to these workers. I guarantee if fair wages and benefits wasn't an issue in american society there wouldn't even be a welfare issue or even an immigration issue as we have today.

Ak...you just pointed it out. Those are exactly the jobs that Americans do not want. They don't pay enough nor do they offer adequate benifits. So most Americans won't do it. You can't blame the employers for finding someone, immigrants, to do the work. Employers are out to make the largest profit possibly and save as much money as possible.

I'm looking at both sides of the spectrum here, I’m from the hood. Born and raised in Cincinnati OH and I know lots of folks on welfare that collect because its easy money and they do other activities on the side to get more money as well.
On the other hand, my wife is from ElSlavador, and her dad came over here 25 years ago with nothing to escape the war over there. He worked as a dishwasher, learned English, and went to school to become an electrician. Now he owns 8 homes in Northern VA rents them all out, and has retired at like 50 something because he worked hard for all he has. He is a citizen, has brought all his family over here legally (he has 12 brothers and sisters) and they all work hard. Harder than most folks I know that are Americans do.
If folks are coming over hear starting trouble with gangs, or drugs, or honestly not working at all and soaking up all the taxpayers’ money. Then they shouldn't be here. But neither should all the folks on welfare that are soaking up all the taxpayers’ money either....
Your giving your opinion on the type of work you do not like doing and thats koo, but majority of americans WILL work. If you choose to have someone else do the work then thats ok....example the american worker is asking for $10 an hour and an illegal worker is asking for $5. Who would you hire?
Yes and I explained the reason behind it! Its not the american worker who is being lazy, Its the companies who are cutting the corners and not paying the right wages. Thats the problem.

Since you meantion construction this is a major issue thats going on and unions are up in arms over this issue. Instead of the job paying union wages there hiring illegal workers at half and putting alot of union workers out of jobs. My father who has been a Sheet Metal worker for over 25 years with his local (28) is dealing with issues like this.
Americans do not think there too good for jobs such as mcdonalds, BK or even Wendys...do you even know what the starting wage for these jobs are??! How can you feed your family, pay rent or even a car note on a job like this?! Its not possible! I bet you if Mcdonalds or any fast food restaurant was paying 20 an hour you think people would think twice about working there?!
