ouch for sure... what'd you hit? and is the hood damaged too?

I am no body expert, but 3500 is way to much. Go to a 3rd party.
FYI, I got hit on my rear left door (sorta like a T-bone, but at a 45 degree angle) ... The door had to be replaced, the C-pillar had to pulled out alot .. then the new door, entire c-pillar, front door and front mirror was re-painted ... that cost me 2500.

Hood is scratched but closes and has a ding kinda weird lookin on the top of it.
I was thinking of autoexe, so go with 3rd party you say?
Now that I look at the picture, it looks like the plastic is "caught" on the bumper so im gonna go try to pop that back out really quick brb
10 mins later, a coathanger and a screw driver it now looks like this, which is "good enough" until i get a replacement.

I hate the look of plain CF hoods but I say get one and paint it stock color however leave a sticker that says MazdaSpeed across the corner of the hood so when they take it off you see some CF.
Check the thread on this there is a pic of it and looks sick. The solid CF look looks like s*** to me as if the car doesnt match but the CF lettering that spells out MazdaSpeed would be trick.
Buy that AutoEx bumper from Voicekolli and get them both painted at the same time and you are set and will feel better about your booboo.

so the dealer is prob writing it for a new hood and bumper and all the grills emblems and plastics, foam bumper reinforcement then to blend both fenders and paint hood complete and bumper with it being a new car i can see where it would be 3500. but u could fix the hood get a new bumper and grills and such and just have them paint it if ya know how to do the work i bet ya could be all said and done for under a grand depending on parts prices
3500 is right. I did body work at a reputable shop from the age of 16-22....not some cheap backyard shop. When the shop gets in there and tears it apart it will end up being more then that. I guarantee there is more damage under that bumper. Pay the deductible and get OEM parts.....only thing that I would possible consider going aftermarket on is the hood.....CF would be nice.

+1 I wish I'd have thought about that... but then shipping....
I hit nothing. Wife didn't see me ou the driveway and f'd up my left fender, scratch the light slightly, and the bumper. Total damage $2656.57. Less a G for deductible, 8 days in the shop. Now I can comment on the forum!!
