CX-7 needed for Performance Parts Development

Hello CX-7 owners,
We are currently looking for a CX-7 to develop and test an XCEL Cold Air Intake and Blow off valve kit. We will also examine the car to determine if our MazdaSPEED6 downpipe will transfer over. The downpipe made insane horsepower with a high flow cat on the MazdaSPEED6.

http://www.cp-e.com/2033.html?open=0,6

All testing was done on a completely stock car, only modification was the downpipe.

We would need the car for 1-2 weeks and a loaner car will be provided, give us a call if you are in the Washington D.C. Area.

Parts will not void any warranties, they are simple bolt on's. The intake is guarenteed to not set a CEL and everything will be FREE!!!

Thanks,
Josh Adams

I could be in the area, if given a weeks notice or so. I live in savannah, ga. and just got mine last weekend.

Anybody know this outfit?
Should I should, or should I shouldn't?

I've been holding off since I barely know where to put the gas in, but you seem like you know your way around a car.

I was also considering letting them take my cx-7, but I have a couple questions.

1. What do I get for doing it?
2. Will this void the warranty?
3. How are we guaranteed to get our CX-7's back in the same condition?

I havent had time to call, as I was asked to, primarily do to work, etc. I was hoping to get answers to these sorts of questions, but haven't yet.

I'd re-read the original post...

Hello Josh,

Welcome to the Mazda Forums community! :D

Posting for a test CX-7 is fine...but please note that if you wish to do business on Mazda Forums you will need Authorized Vendor status BEFORE you post sales or take orders.

Thank you of your understanding!

Antoine,

I had sent an email to one of the administrators and never heard back. If you could send me some banner pricing that would be great. Please send it to jadams@cp-e.com.

CodeCraig

As to your questions codecraig, the BOV and Intake are free, if the downpipe fits that would be free also. We have a written contract to gaurentee that everything is returned in the correct condition. I could provide you with the phone numbers of previous test vehicle owners to verify our track record.

Thanks,
Josh Adams

josh,

1. so if stuff doesn't work, then what?
2. doesn't void warranty? or since it is bolt on stuff, if i needed to take it in to the dealer I could just un-bolt it and put the original parts back on?
3. what type of loaner?

I am going out of town for a week around Aug 12, you trying to do it before then?

I've been gone for a week and just found this thread!!! This has made my whole day!! My CX-7 comes in September and I will be interested in the whole line of CX-7 enhancements. I was hoping you guys would take on the CX-7 to your parts line. I'm 2500 miles away so I can't donate my vehicle, but let me know when the parts are ready!!!!

CodeCraig,
We had some pretty good gains we the MazdaSPEED6 so we are confident there will be gains to be had with the CX-7. If it doesn't work you will have the option of keeping the prototype for yourself and you will be the only one with it. We will also keep the car in doors and put no mileage on it except 30 to drive to and from the AWD Dyno. We only have a 2WD dyno here. If you are close to the area I would like you to come take a look at the shop.

The loaner is a Jeep Cherokee shop car.

Thanks,
Josh Adams

FYI I have a FWD, not AWD.

I'll see what I can do as far as stopping by. It would have to be on the weekend, what are your hours?

Did anybody actually do this? Will we know the results?

i am seriously looking into it. I have been talking with Josh about some details.

sounds great, assuming everything goes as planned. I would hate myself if something went wrong (although unlikely).

i'll post details if/when I get through it.

This company has an outstanding reputation on the Mazda forums, I'm glad I'll finally be able to give them some of my business.
