Zerostart - Custom Bloc Heater

My friend has a 99 Golf 4 TDI. A TDI heater is presently sold on the net. It's a centrifugal pump with a 1000W heater build-in. It's connected to the oil cooler section and heats up the coolant and circulate it through the engine block and transmission.

Does only high copmpression engine have oil coolers? Does Protege's have oil coolers? Does anybody know wich hoses aree the inlet/outlet?

a regular bloc heater is about 600 to 800 watts. The Zerostart system has a cutoff thermostats so it doesn't ovht the engine.

im looking into it. the heater+pump cost 70$ cnd plus maybe a 20 \$ more for hoses. The company is in winnipeg.
