I need to rebuild a motor for my MSP and need a short block. I threw a rod through mine. All I need is the block and crank, the rest is going to be forged and built. If anyone has one let me know asap. Thanks!

What do motors usually run pricewise? I found a totalled MSP yesterday at a dealership in my town and I'm going today to see if they want to part it out. Just wondering cuz I would like to know engine price in case I want to make an offer. I could always use spare parts like a head so I can still drive my car and have the head PP'd.

is that a new block? I found some here for $500 and that was the short block.

benb- in ur sig it says th blown engine is the previous owners fault... did you buy it with a blown engine?

its for an entire engine, low miles. head, block, rods, pistons, manifolds, fuel rail, etc. benefit of doing this is you can either sell the extra parts or have them worked (ie - head getting ported) on while assembling the block with the new components.

The engine blew up on my way home right after I purchased it. It had been running on about 15psi for some time and I turned it down to 6psi before I drove it. The motor was making noise when I bought it so I kinda figured something was about to go, but I was just hoping that the manifold leak was what all the noise was.

check your local laws alot of car lots have 90 day return policies, theres probably some legal actions u can take to save u some money.
