WTB: CF mirror cover!

.. So my passenger-side DG Motorsports carbon fiber mirror cover fell victim to a moron in a Honda today. Basically, the entire front half of my passenger sideview mirror is gone -- and that, of course, included the CF cover.

If anyone has a pair -- or even better, a single passenger-side -- CF mirror cover from DG Motorsports lyin' around .. let me know!

I actually do have pictures of the mangled cover .. Just haven't gotten 'em off my camera yet. Too annoyed, heh.

But we both pulled over, and I got the guy's number and all. He was actually very apologetic, and I have to give him credit for stopping. He told me to send him the total for all the parts and he'll pay me for everything.

And just a curiosity question. I went to the body shop that fixed up my car last September, and got a quote from them. According to the owner, Mazda doesn't sell just the stock mirror-cover part, so I'd have to purchase an entire new sideview mirror. Was the owner bullshittin' me, or do you somehow have an 'in' where you can get just the stock covers?

Butyeah, I'm gonna need BOTH the stock titanium-painted mirror covers that snap onto the sideview mirror, and the DG CF covers too. I actually PM'ed John (the DG sales rep' on the forums), and he said he'd look to see if he can get me just a single one. If he can't, I'll definitely pick up a set of both the stock covers in titanium and the DG CF covers from you, Ken. And even if he can get me just the one CF cover, I'll still buy a pair of the stock titanium mirror covers from j00.

he is actually correct, i tried to order just the plastic trim today and was told they no longer do that! they did the same thing with the side skirt earlier this year - you could buy them painted in single units and now you can only buy them in pairs. the price of a new mirror from the dealer is $169, your price from me is $99 plus shipping if you want to go that route.

Well, seeing as I need that stock cover .. I guess I'm gonna have to order the entire sideview mirror. And what you quoted me for it is definitely less than what both the dealer and the body shop said. So at the very least, I'll pick up a new sideview mirror from you, Kenny-Poo. Any way you can send me (through PM or email or whatever) an invoice for it so I can forward it to the guy that hit me? He's payin' me for everything beforehand, but I need to get him copies of the bills.

I'll make sure to keep you posted on what John from DG says about the CF covers .. Like I said, I'm gonna need a new one of those as well. I just have to see if he'll be willing to sell me just one or if I'll have to order a new pair.

Somewhere on a road by Chicago there is a full Titanium mirror and CF DG cover from my car lol. It was ripped off by a truck tire last summer during a Mazda meet caravan to a park. When I taked to DG they sold me one cover for pretty cheap, so good luck they should help you out

Hi, I need to replace my driver side rear view mirror, how about would i take off the speaker cover that is covering the bolts? Does it just pop off or there is a trick to it?
