ok so I put on my MBC last week,, and I still had hesitation.. it occured to me yesterday,, maybe I should reset the ol' ecu... so I did.. and now, when I drive, I get a nice, smooth rev to redline in all my gears.. Im running 9.5 psi... did anyone else notice this? I wasnt sure that bumping up the psi would do the trick or not... orrrr,, it could just be b/c its no 110 outside today.. who knows.. either way, Im happy..

How long should the battery be unplugged to properly reset the ecu?

Didn't someone say something about hitting/holding the brake down or something weird like that??

I think that's just to drain any remaining juice left trough the brake lights.

yeah,, its to get rid of whatever current oyu might have stored up in your wires or whatever.. just tap the break a few times...

so if i take off the termial (both? or, neg or pos?) and leave them off while i install my intake then it should be all good and reset?

just take the neg off, and yeah, that should be enough time.

hmm, so i take off negative terminal, tap brakes a couple of times, wait like 20 minutes to an hour, hook it up again, turn on car and idle for 15 minutes?

exactly, made a difference in my car - especially after installing FPR kit

To properly reset the ECU... disconnect the negative terminal.... hold the brake pedal down for 30 seconds... reconnect the negative terminal. You don't need to wait any amount of time, except those 30 seconds.

I believe you have to drive easy on it after resetting to let the ECU "relearn" your driving habits. This should equate to better MPG's. However, it may also lead to the return of hesitation. So, who knows... if that fails, reset it again and just drive it like you stole it. :D
