wiring question

if i am hooking up an amp to a HU thru the preouts, and the speakers to the amp, what do i do with the speaker wires from the HU/harness? just not connect them to anything?

If you are using an external amp to power all of your speakers via preouts, you would not need to hook up the speaker wires on the H/U harness to anything. Usually the best thing to do is crimp the speaker leads off to make sure they do not short on anything. Or if you want the wiring to be more visually pleasing, you could remove the speaker wires from the harness with a precision screwdriver or pin.
