Stock / OEM

6x8's - which brand / model
5x7's - ditto
adapted to the 6"
some thing else not listed

Hi SGT ,
Few months ago I was listening on 4.0 lansing but now I bought a polk audio rti a9 and eD a2-300 sub , It is a good 2.1 surround sound system which satisfies your brain and ear . Apart from this JBLs are also good in the speaker family .

I don't know right now. Think I want something with a bit more warmth and oomph at the lower range. Crutchfield suggested some 6x8 2-way Boston Acoustics S85. Seemed reasonable, but still not pulling the trigger.

Guess I want to hear what others have done a bit first.

They are kinda pricey (You can get JBL's for the price), but Kenwood KFC-P680C is made specially for 6x8 openings:
