Ok, I was surfing around a Japan sight and came across these. I've also seen these for sale as an aftermarket piece. Any info on who makes them or how to obtain? Also, has anyone tried doing these to their stock headlamps (paint the housing black). Thanks all.
Well if you have a P5 then you have those lights. Its simply getting them "smoked" like that. Im sure if you find a place that does it itll only be about a 100 bones. But its our headlight, just with that smoked look. But i agree that Sport 20 does look goood.
That looks a lot better than the chrome inner housing. You should be able to do it yourself if you tried. Just buy some clear or black RTV silicone from you local hardware or auto parts store, use an industrial heatgun or hairdryer to melt the factory seal on the headlamps, open them up and begin spraying with some flat black engine enamel paint also available at your local autoparts store. I sprayed my Civic headlamps and it came out pretty good.
If you do attempt to spray the housing, do remember to seal the headlamps up real good or you'll have condensation problems. You could just smoke them out, but spraying the inner housing looks a lot better IMO. Just my .02 cents
Not sure if you can buy the lights aftermarket, not sure where to get the grill, but I know who you can ask about the lower front lip. Here is the link to this guy's picture site: http://photos.yahoo.com/docrod2_99.

Looks pretty sweet. Good Luck with the lights if you decide to go home made!
