wheel fitment question

im thinkin w/ camber id have to rotate my tires more, and be sure to get a non-directional tire, right? that shouldnt be a problem.

whats considered a slam? 4inch drop? i do like the look of stretched tires, as long as i can fit a 38 offset I'm happy.

no wheel gap and a lil camber. for our cars, slam is either coilovers or bagged.

edit: id say 4 inches is pretty slammed.

no way i'm runnin bags haha, its a p5 not an eldorado. 4" drop on canadian roads....not sure hahaha, coilovers would be the best solution for tweaking the height to a good streetable height that doesnt look goofie.
thanks!!

Do not stretch your tires if you are not going to slam (barely any to no wheel gap).

You can only pull that look off with crazy offset if you slam

yes sir, right away sir

will someone explain the "stretch the tire" idea?

i swear, yall are makin me feel like such a noob these days. lol

My set-up,
215/45ZR16 summer
185/70QR14 winter

Marvelous!

215/45ZR17 is a tight fit, especially lowered...

18x9...will they fit on a P5?

I need to get the specs on the SSR wheels from the guy that wants to sell them to me.
They look good though...chrome...although not my cup of tea...I can always sell 'em later. :)

tire stretch is exactly what it sounds like, your putting a skinnier tire on a wider rim essentially. it was introduced thru the drift side of things, cuz it adds strength to the sidewalls, doesnt protect your rim however haha
since pictures speak louder than words.... this is an example more towards the extreme side of stretching.

I fit 17x9 +25 on my msp. I didn't have coils to drop me enough to make it worth while though. Tires were 215/40/17.

No rubbage either. Camber + Drop would have been awesome.

ffffffuuuuuuuuuuu

never seen that bad of an incident before! and those are beeR wheels!!!! s*** those are rare dude! sorry to see that. it cant be unseen!!!

Im planning on getting some new wheels and a drop for my car, and i was wondering if anyone was already running this set up.

i want to get some 18" TSW Jaramas with 215/40/18 tires.
i want to go with the tokico blues/illuminas drop set up.
the wheels have a 40 or 20mm offset. but im thinking 40 is right for the p5?

will these wheels fit on my pro5 with this drop kit? and is there anyone on this site thats already running a similar setup that could tell me what to expect so far as rubbing and stuff?

you will have to do some altering on the inside i believe cause those tsw's are 8" wide and the +40 may require fenders rolled... i personally like 18's. with a lip they dont look so big
