What springs to go with

they are nice, I will most likely get the sportlines. The last time I went to SC, I saw a spicy driving down harbison blvd heading towards I-26. I don't know if you are familiar with that area. It had clear taillights and that was all I could see as far as mods or looks.

If you like the look of the Sportlines .. also try looking for Progress springs. I had 'em on my MSP after I got rid of my coilovers, and I LOVED them.

Here's a pic of the stance they gave .. though you can look at my sig, too. FYI, I was also on Illumina struts, not stockers, and obviously not stock wheel/tire specs.

The Illumina/spring setup by FAR. By like, miles and miles and MILES.

The coilover setup was simply too much for a daily driver, which is what my MSP was. That, and the crappy PA roads -- riding in the car was miserable. It was actually bad enough that my friends and family didn't ever want me to drive 'em anywhere, because they all hated how much their asses hurt by the time we got to our destination. IMO, coilovers should really only be put on cars that are primarily used on the track.

But the combination of the Illuminas and the Progress springs was, IMO, the perfect medium. The car still had very stiff handling and excellent response, but I didn't feel every pebble in the road -- and hitting potholes no longer felt like I'd driven the car into a brick wall.

If you're stock struts are still good, you can use those. Just make note, aftermarket/lowering springs will wear out your factory struts more quickly. So you may need to upgrade later on at some point. Or you could just do both at once. I recommend tokico illuminas; adjustable dampening is nice.

IMO, the wise move is to change out both your springs and struts at the same time. It'll save you a lot of time -- and a lot of money, if you can't do the installs yourself! I'd rather pay for one spring/strut simultaneous install, than two installs (one for the springs, one for the struts). Y'know?

And yes, sooner or later, you will need aftermarket struts if you don't keep all the stock suspension components. Tokico Illuminas are definitely the top choice. Not to mention that non-stock struts will give you a much more even drop, versus the 'raked' look of stock struts.

I ran the Sportlines with the stock struts and the struts are still good. The Sportlines give you 1.8" drop front and rear.
