What does 2021.5 model year mean?

I searched the forum but didn't find any answers.

Are there differences on a 2021.5 (GT) vs a 2021?

2021.5 was a mid-cycle refresh.. updated infotainment mostly and maybe a few tweaks with what you see in 2022-23.

I think 2021.5 had wireless carplay, which they rolled back in 2022.

Did they fix the issue with the coolant valves on this refresh or only 2022 onwards?

2021 had valve stem seal issues if that's what you're thinking of. Caused excess oil consumption, but not sure if 2021.5 is considered a 2021 on these TSBs. You could confirm by VIN number range.

The other issue you'll see is a coolant leak on the manifold due to the casting design. This was resolved in mid 2020, so any 2021 SHOULD be safe.

All info above is correct. 2021.5 was only in Canada.

In short, the US got the new screen and new infotainment in 2021, but Canada didn’t. 6 months later they rolled out the 2021.5 in Canada, which brought the new screen and infotainment system from the US 2021 model.

2021.5 is a Canadian version of the US 2021.
