What can be done w/out voiding warranty?

I was wondering what mods can I do without voiding the warranty? Does it depend on what dealer I am serviced by? I want to get the CAI!

usually depends on your dealership. but simple stuff like intake and exhaust and dp will not void your warranty. what my dealership told me is that if i touch the intercooler piping, my warranty's gone. a boost controller will void it as well.

Legally there is a law to prevent them from out right voiding the warrenty due to aftermarket modifications unless it is directly related to the failure.

And if the dealer installs the part then it can never void the warrenty.

But overall it does depend on the dealer and service manager if they will put up a fight.

Been discussed a few times here but that is a quick recap of it.

Well........

A boost gauge or turbo timer will not void the warranty, as my dealer states.

I have also been told, as far as CAI; that nothing changed before the MAF will affect the warranty; but I'm not sure about that.

My dealer told me that anything besides a boost gauge will void the warranty:

That means anything changing the path & volume of air to the engine and afterwards

basically, if a dealer can prove without a doubt that your mod caused the damage you're trying to get warranty work on, they'll not do it..

if they try any other BS with you, it's cuz they're greedy.. lol, which almost every dealer is lol
