I recently developed a weird problem with the driver side..Window..and Window switch. It's been raining here in jersey..not sure if that matters..

But it used to go all the way down..and all the way up. Last night...it stopped doing it.

Today..i did the little reset trick...And now the driver side window goes all the way up and down.

Anyone else having this issue?

i had that problem when installed my intake i disconnected the battery and my window wouldnt roll down automatically

i did the trick and now it works fine

im havin a similar prob, all the windows go up and down auto when i click down, but the drivers window i gotta keep my finger on it...? whats the deal

in this case, i would actually disconnect and reconnect the battery, then go to each window and roll them all the way down, hold, back up hold. maybe you can trick the car into resetting them?

i'm guessing its got somethign to do with the anti-pinch, which i'm not sure how it works, so starting over may reset it.

okay so i fixed my prob.

what i did was, when i got home, i closed the engine, got out of the car and oressed the unlock button on my key, keep ur finger on it untill all the windows roll down. Get in the car turn the car on and then roll them back up. it should be fine now. it worked for me good luck lemme know if it worked....

This happens from time to time not sure exactly why though. There is no need to disconnect the battery. All you have to do is for the window not working properly hold the switch up / down for 3-5 secs and it will reset the switch that tells it to auto up/down. This is per the dealership and I believe the manual may mention it also.

The issue arose again on monday..had to do the reset trick to get it to auto roll up and down again..

Today after installing my CAI i reset the battery and had to do the trick on all the windows...I hope it will permanetly fix it.

I understand that, but also stated it worked. You suggested to disconnect the battery again but in actuallity theres really no need for that. It just seems to happen from time to time, possibly from water getting in because now that I think about it thats when it would happen to me as well. Who knows though...

Rain..it's a possiblity..i heard/read about someone who took it to the dealership..and found that it's (wiring for windows) right inside the fender..and wires are basically exposed to the ellements..and consider this..we have vent holes in the wheel wells...i have since..installed a CAI..and tape closed those vents on driver side..i guess we shall see when it rains next..weather or not the issue is related.

I had this issue numerous times but when it happens i just quickly do the hold-button-up-for-2-seconds thing to reset it again and it works fine after that..

Happened when i least expected it though...was raining and i was paying toll, it rolled down fine...after that i drove off, and clicked the button up expecting it to roll up but nooOOOoo....it didn't and i was half wet...

But after any of these incidents the other windows are still set (meaning i could still control it from the driver's side without re-calibrating it)..

Just my experiance..

I have a window problem excpept mine is i cant operate any of the passeneger windows from the drivers switch.

you have the well known and discussed issue. just roll each one down and up individually at the local switches. hold the switch down/up for a second or two after its completely down/up. you should be all set at that point.

Well it rained the other day..pretty bad..i drove through puddles and such..not water into the CAI :-) but the dang switch for the window again..i had to do the trick to fix it :-(
