Wagon "bumper step" on sedan?

Has anyone ever put the "bumper step" for the 6 wagon on a 6 sedan? I tend to open the trunklid and sit on the bumper/in the trunk to change shoes for mountain bike rides, and I was thinking it might be good to protect the paint.

This is the part I'm talking about. Anyone know if it would fit?

For the cost Id say buy it n see if it fits without modification...

would be great if that plate fits the MS6.
top of my back bumper looks like someone took a rake to it.
