Using 15% ethanol

I am getting more and more informed about petrol with ethanol. It seems to do much more damage than I thought it could. So is using 15% ethanol bad for our 2.0 litre Protgs?

It increases the Octaine, But also reduces the Specific Gravity of the fuel so you could run leaner... But in reality, the stock tune is very rich...

Thanks for your reply. I guess 15% should put it right in the middle of lean and rich. The only other thing I'm wondering about is if the corrosiveness of 15% ethanol is too harsh for some of the internals (rubber of other plastics). My fuel pump was replaced recently because of a nice small crack in the cheap plastic, made my car smell awful. Is this a sign of what's to come in a few years

Your fuel economy will drop and your car will burn a bit hotter, but it should run well.

E15 isn't E85...
