umm.. help? o.O

my car has no knock sensor... i pulled the intake manifold off and the block has NOWHERE to install one what do i do? it needs one its stuck in limp mode with out it anyone have any ideas?

your cel would be on if it wasnt hooked up. look on the passenger side of the IM , look for a 2 pin connector

i have the connector from the harness BUT i do not have the place ON the block to install one

its a fs9 head completely rebuilt. the block idk what year its from but all i know is that it needs the knock sensor, BUT has no location for it

where would i be able to find like... a block casting or something that would help me verify the type of block it is.

Not sure of the thread but I have my J&S Knock sensor mounted in one of the holes where the intake manifold bracket attaches to the block. Pulled it off and cut off one of the ears on the bracket to utilize that hole.

the car dosent even have the intake mounting bracket i have empty holes there dosent it need to read the oil for the knock vibrations?

Does the knock screw into coolant or oil galley?

I have the same problem on my block. I just too out one of the bolts for the support arm on the back of the intake manifold and screwed it into the hole. Has worked fine.

The knock sensor does not hit any oil or coolant passages it just detects the vibration of the engine. You can thread and tap a different hole to mount the sensor elsewhere on the block.
