Have any of you turbo'ed Protege's out there had a fair run with a WRX??? My friend has a WRX w/ AEM CAI, and exhaust. And (given he's not the best driver) he can't break 15's at the track!!! My friend with a 2002 GTI beats him every once in a while, and all he's got is a down pipe and intake. I plan to attempt to take my brother at the track as soon as my turbo is all broken in, but I feel I stand little or no chance, he also has a 2002 VW Gti 1.8t, but his is slightly different, he holds the record for the fastest K03 turbo in the west, (probably east too!) for those unfamiliar with a K03 it's VW's stock turbo, he hit 13.8 with it on stock tires, running 24 psi. He also just got Nitrous Express 100 shot. Yeah I don't stand a chance, but I'll keep up more than when I was N/A!

I have surprised my fair share of STOCK WRX's... FROM A ROLL! I have raced one off the line, and it wasn't pretty! Don't even think about it unless you have enough power to make up for traction deficit. Check out this picture of me keeping pace with Scoobies this weekend on a passing manuver:

Left a WRX really bad on the highway...funny thing is, he initiated the run...but when I left him and slowed down a good 1/4 mile down...he didn't even bother to wave back....
Ok, well I'll deffinatly give it a shot, hey how long did you take it easy on your turbo for? I'd hate to screw something up, I got confirmation that the kit, (hopefully in it's entirety) will be at my door no later than Friday, just in time for superbowl weekend. I guess I'll just bring a T.V. out to the garage and watch from under my car!!! J/K... too distracting!

Well it took me a good 400 to almost 500 miles before I started to really get on the pedal and fly, but then again I didn't have a choice....didn't have my wastegate spring till after the mileage.
