turbo manifold

the spool shorty, the full tubular..the begi...at what rpms do all of these manifolds hit full boots and the turbo is fully spooled?

Our shorty hits full boost at 3000 rpm. Our full tubey will hit full boost at 2750 and start building boost at 2000 rpm. However BEGI's maybe a little different since there intercooler setup is different then ours and alot of other factors come into play regarding turbo responsiveness

pros:
better spool up
looks trick

cons:
more expensive

If you are not so concerned with spool up and want a nice system go with the shorty. If all out power is what u are after go for the full tubular

Spoolup is affected by turbo sizing, manifold design, exhaust backpressure, downpipe design, boost controller and even altitude. It's very difficult to compare one setup to another.

Removes the first cat thus is not fully carb legal as all emission equiptment is not retained.

It will pass emissions even at full boost.

Yeah, just not visual if the inspector knows what they are doing. It is illeagal to remove a CAT, but I don't care! Mine is gone due to the BEGI off-road downpipe.

Not yet, but I've got a desk full of paperwork. It's unlikely that any turbo system would pass a sniffer test at full boost, by the way. It runs too rich.
