Tinting Place in Jersey???

No its not a problem on any car if done right ... the damn shop didnt unscrew the mirror from the mount and just PULLED it off the glass.

Well yeah obviously, the installer makes all the difference in the world. In my friend's tint shop, he would do window strips on a case by case basis. A lot of vehicles have loctite on the rearview mirror screws, making them hard to remove. Most of the time, the tinter's screwdriver slips and cracks the windshield, or they do what you said and just rip it off.

On another note....you should see how tough it is to do a one piece rear window on a new VW beetle. I've done a few myself to help out, and they are not easy.

Eh all it takes is some patience and a hair dryer . The new celicas rear piece is easy as cake tho -- its almost completely flat!

Yep, Celicas are a piece of cake. Front windows are unframed and virtually no heat shrinking required on the rear window. Oh yeah....and it's a heat gun you need....a hair dryer doesn't get hot enough to shrink tint. Personally, I have a Milwaukee Heat Gun with adjustable heat settings.
