Well finally found the problem... it wasn't rod knock at all... I had placed my EVAP close to the body and it was vibrating XD Totally forgot about placing the EVAP far from any piece of metal.

Mine was making the same noise FOREVER. Chris (Prodigy here on the forums) fixed it in like 2 seconds. I'll take pics in a little while of the valve he moved.

Exhaust leak, or lifter tick? But if it can't be heard inside of the engine compartment, maybe the exhaust donut where the "downpipe" hits the catback is worn, and has begun to leak. The video for this noise is gone, but if it's a tick, it makes me think fuel injectors, lifters, or an exhaust leak.

the metal tongue was originally slotted into the top of the rubber intake tube

Doh, I didn't realize there were multiple pages in this thread when I responded (hand) congrats on finding the problem, I've never heard that particular noise because my evap solenoids are mounted on a bracket on the cold pipe coming from my intercooler. (bolt)

imjustagirl, thank you for posting those pictures.
Mine was just sitting on other neighboring rubber hose, so I mounted it near the intake hose.
Also my EVAP canister was just dangling off its mount, so I remounted that too.
Havent driven around yet to see if it still makes the annoying sound
