Thinking of swapping 2006 for 2013

So are you saying the 2008 and up are the transmissions that have failed? Because on edmunds most complaints are about the 2006s where they fail around 80-120 k. It seems that the repair frequency was high on 2006 then went down on 2007, then was really bad on 2008, and 2009 seems to be the best, but 2010 is the 2nd lowest with no problems. That is according to true delta.

I never did much of anything, other than change the oil every 5,000 miles. I'd change the oil filter every 10,000 miles. I did the cabin air filter a couple of times, the intake air filter a couple of times, the spark plugs once. I never replaced the belts nor flushed the transmission. I did replace both sliding door electric locks. I replaced the front struts once, the rears probably 5 times. Brake pads once. Put adjustable camber arms in the back but didn't keep it long enough to know if it was gonna help the tire wear. I think it was gonna help. Upholstery looked good, no tears or worn spots. Mostly around town miles, some highway, but mainly a work car and kid taxi. It was a great car!

You don't change the oil filter the same time as the oil? That's odd.

No, I did it every other time. Lazy is the only reason.

I now remember I had a motor mount replaced under warranty. And a recall for freezing sliding doors, which never happened to me as it rarely freezes here.

It was a great car, I hope the new 3 is as good!
