This is the feul fix, and yes we will be able to run 8psi safely.

It should be the fuel fix or at least the first try at it. I believe they have already used it on there P5 and it was ok. The ECU occording to all my talks with bill and Corky was never the problem. Everyone will knock at part throatle under boost. Thats why I floor it or I stay below 2 PSI and I have never heard knock.

Anyone know the ETA on the parts and yes it is going to all BEGI owners.

Well of corse trading the MP3 ecu for the Pro 5 ecu will lose HP on the MP3. BUUUUUUUUT he has a turbo on it so losing 5-6hp isn't a big deal. I rather lose 5hp then lose my engine!!!

WHat everyone is saying is that the difference in timing between mp3 and the P5 make no difference in the knocking of the BEGI turbo, Its all about the fuel. Everyone is to cought up on the knocking that FM got when they swapped ECU. That knock was basicly none existant and in a very small rpm band. AT full throatlr with 93 octane I have never hears knock even at 8 PSI. I also know the car is running very rich and actualy accelerates slower at full throatle. The ECU swap will in no way stop the knock, thats what the parts FM is shipping out are for. Once in if someone can get there MP3 back to FM to swap back into the P5 it would be nice to verify no knock, but I doub't there will be some.

Read before you make a stupid ass statement like this!!! I said changing ECUs WILL NOT stop the pinging!!! but if you want to give up @7hp and still have ping go for it!

I spoke with Keith@FM today and he informed me that the fix they've created should help the problem with the ECU pulling feul which in turn should get rid of the ping.

BUT,,, he also did say that running a different ECU-such as the P5 ECU isn't a bad idea. Yes, you'll lose a few HP but it will also be safer. Especially for cars running 91 octane gas such as myself.

We have 93 here and FM said that the MP3 ecu would be fine.

You know, people here, such as yourself, and many others are starting to get on my nerves. You don't have to be such a prick to get your point across. Simply saying "Saided, I already said that getting the P5 ECU didn't solve the pinging, and is not a good solution." Instead of the above.

Its really useless for people to get so pissed off for having something misread etc. Its the internet, its not as easy as listening to someone say it out loud.
