Tapping Nose When Car Is Off

Hey guys I just put on the CP-E Cat-Back Single Exhaust. I took it out for a test drive and came back home and turned the car off and walked away but heard a tap in the back by the tip so I waited to see if it would do it again. So after 5 to 10 min heard it again. What could this be?

when the exhaust heats up it expands. when the car is turned off right away it starts to cool and therefore shrink bit by bit. that may be causing that tapping noise.

I have the same exhaust set up and hear the same exact noise. I have had mine on since late august and still hear it.

How do I make it stop vibrating on the tip pice no the bumper it drives me crazy. I hear it when I drive for the first 10 to 15 min

you have to adjust it, bend the hangers some

Is yours vibrating on the tip built into the bumper?

I dont have my tip in and mine was vibrating against the frame...so i took a hammer to the frame and bent it about a 1/4 inch and it stopped.

Yeah it is on the frame it is driving me crazy
