stock system/upgrade power cable

PS!
Potential Scammer!
I have a wiring kit i got a while ago which contains a power cable that is about twice as thick as the one taht comes with the stock mp3 system. Wat my question is if i replace it with the thicker one will iget better performance from my stock 10' subwoofer :p

probably not. The stock wire is the correct gauge for the current the amp draws. If you were to install an aftermarket amp I would definatly recommend replacing it.

Its probably right next to the sub or built into it. I don't have one so I can't help you there.

the amp is built into the bazoka tube. I have heard that people upgraded the wiring and rca wire's and said that it was louder. all the wiring is very cheap that the car comes with. what gauge is ur wiring kit i think the stock uses like 16gauge. i f u have it you may as well use it, it cant hurt. and it will make it easier to upgrade later.

i switched the rca's to some audiobahn ones, and am planning on doing the same for the power wire, but i dont know how well it will slpice into that bad harness that goes to the sub...big ben says its louder though, so i may try it.

It should help. I don't know that you will notice the difference, but the stock wiring sucks. (Including the crappy RCA cables.) If you decide to put in a new amp or do more with the stereo, you should replace these.

I think I got rid of my sub and put in new wiring the first week I had the car. But I've been known to blow a lot of money on stereo equipment (but I've been trying not to do that with this car).

Still have the same head unit but two RF Power amps, two 10" Power subs, MB Quartz components in the front doors, MB Quartz Coax's in the rear doors, 4 gauge wire to the amps, Stinger Dream RCAs to the amps and a 1 Farad cap. . .

So, nevermind, I blew that one again, but it looks like I haven't done much with it. I'll shut up now.

But bigger, less resistance wires always help. If it made no difference, then capacitors wouldn't help either.
