2011 Mustang GT
I got bored between classes and decided to go to the local Ford dealer to look at a few cars.

First was the 2010 Mustang GT. I looked at a Grabber Blue (baby blue) with the 5-speed and the Track Pack. Took it for a spin, absolutely loved it. Car has fantastic steering, great feel inside and out, and looks awesome in the retro color! Without the spoiler on the back, and the sequential tails, the car looks great too. Overall I was very happy with the car. It was optioned out with the premium trim, along with Track Pack, HIDs, security pack, and comfort group, and stickered at $35,285.

Next was a Taurus SHO. Tuxedo black metallic with black interior. Another gorgeous car. Sitting in one of these is like being inside a fighter cockpit. They wrap around you and everything is close to where you are. I can't believe that they went from the 500 to this in a few years, it's almost impossible to tell. Sticker on this was $44,895, and included the 20" luster wheels, massaging heated & cooled seats, and the SHO driver's pack.

So, in short, I like what I saw. I love my Mazda, but I'm always looking for something new and exciting. I'll stop at a Chevy dealer sometime this week and check out the Camaros too.

I have been obsessively checking the websites of the Ford dealerships in my area ever since July, waiting for an SHO to pop up. Hasn't happened yet. I can't afford one, but I really want to take one for a spin.

Man, every dealer around me has at least one. My parents just picked up a 2010 Fusion and the local dealer has 3 of them sitting up front.

i can't begin to tell you how incredibly badass that baby blue looks on the 2010 stang. it's soooooo tempting! looks as if Ford is doing something right.

I'm a fan of the new Mustang too. Wasn't thrilled when I drove an 06 GT. It felt cheap, looked cheap inside, and didn't even sound that great if you ask me. Didn't sound like a Mustang should. As for the new one, improvements all around. It looks far better inside, drives so much nicer as well.

I haven't seen a SHO here yet, but I have driven the new Taurus, and I am impressed with how far it has come along since the 500 as well. Very spacious, great interior, and has a big bold look from the outside.

Seeing it in person pulled up under the dealer awning was amazing. After doing some research, the 2011 with the 32v 5.0 V8 is going to probably be my next car. Order banks open up in Nov, and the cars will start being built in March 2010. I'm not on my way out yet fellas, don't think I'm bailing.

This is hotness:

Haven't seen one in that color yet, and I work for a Ford store, lol. Haven't seen that color at all up here on the road either, wonder if it's available in Canada.

ya a guys wife is the service manager at the local ford dealership and he bought a new sho and the thing is sexy his is silver i was talking to him about it things are quick too like 13.6 @ 101 not bad for being like 4300 pounds lol

I really like the SHO in Tuxedo Black. It's got so much metallic in it, and really shines under good light.

im not a fan of that blue. but i do really like the new mustangs. as for the SHO, i love how they look. hopefully stop by a dealer soon and give it a spin. how hard did it pull?

I didn't like the blue at first, but seeing it a few times and finally in person made me really fall in love with it. It works really well with the retro inspired design, and with the 19" wheels, it sits great on the road.

My only real complaint about the car is the plastic lower valence that is on the front and rear bumpers.

Here's another pic of what I'd eventually like to do with the car:

hmmm i guess id have to see it in person. but i love those rims

Those are the Gt500 rims without the SVT center caps. Very good looking wheels indeed.

Ahh... The joys of living in Maine...

Yeah, one of the perks of being close to the HQ is that we usually see things long before the rest of the country.

Parents picked up their 2010 Fusion tonight. Sterling Grey, monochrome pkg. Sony stereo, BLIS, dual HVAC, V6 SEL. Very nice car. Not a big fan of the painted grille, but the color is sharp. I would have preferred a Sport model, but they weren't feeling it.

I tell you what... Much like the styling tweaks to the 2010 Mustang made all the difference to me, the 2010 Fusion is so much better-looking than the previous model.

Quiroga wrote in his C&D review of the new SHO:

"How about this, Ford? Give the Fusion the SHO's drivetrain. A Fusion SHO might just become the must-have performance sedan for less than $30,000."

If Ford does this, they will have my three stacks of high society.

That would be one wicked car. At an SAE event last year I asked a few of the SVT engineers there if there was a Fusion SVT in the works, and the reply was 'no comment'. I still forsee something slotting in above the Sport model to rival the S4 (since the Taurus was gunning for the A6/S6???). Going from a friends '09 to the '10 is night and day. Amazing what a little refinement can do. I'll post pics once the weather clears up and I can clean the car up.

One last little comment and then I'll shut up... Maybe...

The big thing that I was hoping Ford would do with the new SHO was make the engine look good. No plastic shrouds or other such window dressing; a sexxy lookin' engine, just like the original SHO. That was one of the coolest things about my 2nd Gen:

Unsuspecting Observer: "It's just a Taurus."
Me: "Oh yeah? Check this out..."
::Pops the hood::
Unsuspecting Observer "Holy sh**..."

That "bundle of snakes" intake was just so damn cool. They don't make engines look like that anymore. Unless it says "Ferrari" or "Bugatti" or "Aston Martin" somewhere on the valve covers.
