Does anyone know any good SQ songs/cd's that would be best to test out a quality system. There must be official songs that the competitions use to test out all the cars.

What does everyone else use??

Anything by Sheffield Labs is awsome in quality and is all but an industry standard. IASCA makes a disc for competition and tuning, I think sounddomain has them, if no then hit www.IASCA.com

Also go to www.carsound.com and order all the autosound 2000 discs. All 5 cost around $60 shipped. I have them and they are used by many compeditors to tune there cars.

They absolutly are. I even use them at my full time job for EQ professional conferencing room and auditoruim audio systems. Tey even do the job for broadcast studio setup.

If you put those tweeters anywhere high up you sure as hel will. THose tweeters need to stay by the kick panels.

The BA tweeters are way to bright to be up that high, you'll want to put them on the lowest setting on the crossover, or just leave the ones up high where they are and just don't use them. Either way I 'm sure you'll play around and find the way you like them.

I have them on the lowest setting and they sound great. But they would sound better lower on higher setting?

The Boston Pro tweeters are even brighter then the Quarts you show on your cardomian page. Place on the pillars the Bostons will have a high soundstage but usualy a noticable difference in location of drums and some lower vocals. Lower the stage wil be a more together stage but lower overall unless you use the conical tweeter mounting option and aim them upward in which they sound very good. Also the tweeters will have some more flexibility and won't rip your head off.

Yeah , I ditched the Quarts due to their harshness and lack of mid-bass. So the only thing overall to do is kick pods then or re-aim tweeters or lower the treble setting?

I can take pics of my speakers now if you want.

You don't hae to build kick pods just place the tweeters in that area since the BA comes with a variety of tweeter mounting and angling options.

I see what you are saying just move the tweeters down and aim them up with the other mounting option. Have you heard this setup or with other speakers.

I have heard it in a Suby WRX, which is damn near identical to our car inside, and he was using 6.5" pro components. Definitly an awsome sounding car, especialy when he added my 8" subs.

Hmm now I'm worried- I was going with the Boston Pros 6.5s in the stock location(s). Will the trebble shrill my eardrums into mush? You can adjust the trebble frequency separate from the mid range (6.5) on the 300/2...right?

With the treble down on the crossover I really do not find them harsh. Just put them on the lowest setting and you should be fine.

The 300/2 has nothing more then crossover and gain, there is no way to adjust a single frequency on it. A good aftermarket headunit will do that, also the boston crossovers have a junper that can be adjusted to lower the tweeters volume.
