Springs and Spring Rates

Sorry to break the topic here, but the old one used to be a rear shot of a nice Supra. I'll make the next one a Xavani Nismo Skyline GTR for you.

That is odd. the JIC's have a stiffer spring in the front than in the rear...

what's odder is that the JIC and Tein setups are so different:

JIC: 393F/225R
Tein SS: 336F/280R

the teins are much softer in the front and stiffer in the rear. the softer fronts i can see b/c as i understand it, the SS kit is less "hardcore" than the FLT-A2...but why is the JIC kit so much softer in the rear?

edit:

here is the stock info i have been able to gather:

ES/P5: ?F/?R <--- can't find this info anywhere
MP3: 215F/152R <--- from this thread
MSP: 145F/118R <--- obtained from mazdausa.com

the MP3 numbers can't be right unless the MSP uses softer springs...?????

The MP3 and MSP spring rates are the same. Close to 145 front and 117 rear.

Stiffer rear springs will help induce oversteer.
