Not to mention, I don't quite remember what magazine this was out of (I think it may have been SCC), where they mentioned that the car didn't have a muffler, and was backfiring everywhere, ... do you really think it will make it to the streets that way, or do you think they will end up having to cripple it before they sell it to everyone?

All I know is that if I ever get the chance to race one... I better win. ahahha Man, I'd hate to lose to a neon. The 5.6 0-60 is pretty hardcore, but the 14.2 in the 1/4 is something I can hang with.

i still do, but unless i replace everything. neons are quite fast if you hook them up. there are some 9 second neons out there running the stock block.

If I had the chance to buy the new turbo neon I would buy it, that motor is the s***!!! 16g turbo, nice efficient front mount, the interior is sweet, nice boost gauge, bad ass seats...............MY only complaint....the exterior styling is well.......ehhh crappy

The only thing that would hold me back are the round headlights. I hate them in a neon, wrx, that marcedes that has em in it. I dont know what it is. That just ruins the look of a front end. And GM is trying to do something for the street scene. They made that supercharger kit for the cavalier and sunfire. The only problem you have with any american sub-compact is that as soon as you drive off the lot, you lost $4,000 right there. The resale for those things are horrible. The best investment in a car i've seen is a 2nd gen eclipse, especially a GSX. man those things have been holdin some serious value.

Yeah its a neon...yeah its a dodge...but its a serious effort and a serious player in the SC game...I'd like to shake the hand of the bean counter who made the final approval.
