Speed6 envy, trade? (joke... sorta:)

I really wanted a Speed6 whenever I got my CX-7, but my wife didn't want to drive a manual transmission (she hates them with a passion) and she said "just in case" she ever had to drive my car... we couldn't get something with a manual.

The CX-7 is nice, but man am I missing the speed, 4000lbs is too much for the 2.3 Turbo with an auto tranny... maybe if the CX-7 came with a 6 speed manual :(

Anyone wanna trade? :)

Just make that b**** drive a manual like I did.

My ole lady wanted a car, it was up to me to get it, so she got the manual. If she wanted to get to work and around town she'd learn. Sure enough she can drive a manual now, she's hasn't burnt the clutch, and it let's me enjoy her car whenever I have to drive.

You're just a big pussy.

In all seriousness though tell her you HATE driving automatic and just because she HATES driving stick doesn't mean she can't do it "just in case". I mean damn....it's your car.

I got a lot of respect for you married types. I don't know if I could ever do it...I mean I'm young still but I'm not exactly too compromising when it comes to certain things (like my car). I guess I'll have to find a motorhead like me or bust.

(rockon) lol. When ever I get a new car the only question I ask the wife is how it looks. Other then that she has she doesn't care what I drive. Well as long as I don't go backwards in gas mileage.
 
My wife prefers manuals...of our cars, the CX-7 is our only automatic. She just asked me yesterday if they made the CX-7 in manual...only in Europe :(

How come you gotta have an SUV?? What's she driving? Also I kinda miss your logic. My girls all hated to drive my old Vette when it was stock. Now that it's modded they wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole. Ah, the desired effect! So if she hates manuals with a passion, it simply means you don't have to worry about her curbing those nice rims, burning the clutch, stalling a hundred times a day, coming back from too tight a parking spot (sorry bout the bigass door ding, hunny)

So since you seem to be stuck with the CX-7, Is there maybe a kit for the auto in the CX-7? Might improve the fun factor.

BTW, a Mazda dealer WILL trade you, and you might not make out so bad these days with all the xtra Speed6's on the lots, just hold out for a deal and don't listen to any BS, they can sell slightly used CX-7's all day long...
 
men, i thnk your wife is just mean! Don't get me wrong, Its like your wife cares more about her convinience than your happyness!!! WTF! It is to much of a hasle for her to let you be happy? WTF!!

Yes, you will def. understand when your married, sometimes you gotta compromise. But I have a big plus, me and my wife have an MS6 and a Mustang. We trade cars everyday, but neither one is boring, so I lucked out on that one!
