hey just joined here thought id put up my short build thread, bought the car in march, right after basic training and tech, been my dream car for a very long time, drove it for about 3 weeks when all of my parts were finally in my room,
gt2860rs
pauter rods
wiseco pistons in .040 over
spec stage 2 clutch
split second a/f
corksport intake
custom fmic and piping
626 intake manifold
440cc injectors
motor mount inserts
new water pump
new oil pump
new timing belt blah blah blah new freaking everything
i really wanna thank ken at protege garage for the hookup with all these parts he ships very fast and is very good to deal with and will always take my business to him.
this is how it started out
still have the stockers just threw my friends evo bbs on for fun looked funny with the 245 45 tires lol
anyways the fsdet leaked from every spot possible for it to leak from, so the fun began
freshly bored and ready to go back together(i took more pictures during the build but cant find the pictures
leaked almost a quart a day of oil from the cam seals : (
so anyways the car went back together and i was super excited got it on the dyno to tune it on 14-15psi went great so far have made some serious power, not completely sure on the numbers highest we got so far was 290 horse and 310 torque, but still have some fine tuning to do should get 300 horse out of it : ) and still get 29-30 mpg!
got some new rims and dropped it and this is where im at now
oh ya my charge pipe decided to blow a hole in my radiator so i put a 96 prelude radiator in it, fits farely well as long as your charge pipes are in the right spot so if anyone wants to save some money there give it a try
