Smell from the Cat

Hey do you get a smell coming fro the floor of you MP5 with a auto, Like the Cat is backed up and smells bad anybody?

like a rotten egg smell? Yep, I do every once in a while, especially when the car was newer, but I still get it every once in a while. The mechanic said to take it on a road trip to heat it up. That seemed to help. He also said to switch gas companies, but that didn't really seem to help.

Gives you an excuse to go on a road trip every once in a while.

I get a foul smeel from my cat once in a while, but it is mostly when I feed him canned food!! Stick to the dry stuff and there should not be any further problems. Seriously, I noticed a strange smell a few times when the car was new, but seeing as how it is now 7 months old and has 15k+ miles on it, I have smelled nothing.

I do get that, but only when I really rev the engine. Usually have to get it up to 5 -or- 6k, and my car is about 14 months old now .
