Small email response regarding hesitation...

Ok, I know this is hardly worth a new thread, but enough people here care about the fuel problem that I thought I should put this out there....

I sent an email to the 2 heads of Mazda USA's engineering dept questioning them about the bad fuel (flooding) problem with the car, and I also included a copy of our petition that Boostisgood started. It took 2 email attempts and 4 days to get any kind of response, but here's what I got....basically a generic reply that indicates no fix exists yet and they're still doing "research"....

Subject: Your e-mail to Mazda (KMM108701V61178L0KM)
To Craig, Casey, and others interested:

Thanks for your e-mail to Kelvin Hiraishi and Truman Pollard. We really appreciate the enthusiasm of our MAZDASPEED Proteg owners, and your satisfaction is extremely important to us. We are currently researching the issues that you have mentioned, and ask for your patience while we do so.

WOW!

Sounds like a whole lot of "GO **** YOURSELF" from Mazda if you ask me!
I say the hell with Mazda,I can fix this s*** myself!

Yes, I find it kind of odd and discouraging that 1 guy working out of his garage (Joe P :p ) can engineer a fix (or at least an "aid" for the problem) in just a few days and yet the entire MazdaUSA corporation can't come up with ANYTHING even after 6 months.

that's a response from a PR person... all it says is that they are "working" on it... its the usual BS, avoidance

It'll get attention. Only problem is that this whole BOARD may get Mazda trollers on it - which is good AND bad (and oft-discussed on this and other boards).

Yeah, even though it was a CSR who responded, I think it will get the needed attention simply because the email I sent was ADDRESSED soley to the engineering guys. I have to assume they forwarded it on to a CSR -- which at least means that the issue was before the engineering guys's eyes for at least the 1 moment it took them to decide to forward it.

I got that email also, I replied with a request to have one of those guys respond to me, not a PR or CSR person. I have also been contacted by someone directly that we emailed. I will post it all in another thread.
