My deal said mp5 doesn't need Premium Gas, they said silver is best fit Mp5, is it true??????

Right now gas is 48 cents US per litre (70cents CAD) here in Canada.....

just filled up my tank for 1.39$ a gallon on..... 93 octane, haha I win.

aye for regular, at the cheapest place for miles. so cal sux, most at around 2.23. i hate hearing national averages because here its about 50 cents more expensive.

gas here isnt THAT bad.................i just filled up 2 days ago at $1.70 per gallon...............the worst ive ever seen it here (suburbs)was like $2.30 per gallon about a year and a half or 2 years ago..................you poor cali people.

Yah - anyway, back to the guy's original question.

If you read your manual, it recommends 87 octane.

I have used just that for 42,000+ miles, and my car still purrs like a kitten.

Using anything more than that is a waste of money.

I will patiently wait for the flames from all the 91+ octane freaks out there - but all you have to do is PROVE it's better - and not by how it "feels". Real proof.

All you are actually doing by using high octane gas is hurting your performance and increasing your the deposits in the combustion chambers. We can't effectively use it, so there's no reason to buy it.

Stick with the 87 and the extra few bucks in your wallet.

well said
the cars ignition system was designed for 87 octane
it DOES NOT know the difference when you put premium in
a good quality gas will have the same detergents
now this i for non turbo vehicles that cant take advantage of the higher cylinder pressures you can run with premium
