Silly hair question

Well I was actually thinking about this today so as funny as it may sound ill ask it anyway.

Im a guy and I keep my hair relatively short. Not buzzed short but you get the picture. Anyway I have a LOT of hair (on my head :)). Basically if I shower and dry it off it gets very poofy and bushy especially when it gets longer.

What I have done in the past is I just shower at night before bed. When I sleep I guess it "irons" out my hair so when I wake up in the morning my hair is frizz free. Feels very soft and looks much better.

Anyway ive tried frizz conditioners but nothing really works except gel of course. I hate having crap in my hair though.

Any tips on what I can do. My girlfriend actually used her hair straightener on me which worked pretty well. Only problem is its a very slow process and I cant do it by myself since my hair is so short.

iv been having trouble with my hair for a long time now

it wasnt untill the other day when i was told i looked like troy polamalu that i started thinking i might need a cut

dude let that hair grow out man, the [enter ethnicity]<enter ethnicity="">-fro do is the new thing now!</enter>

haha thats some crazy hair. i always wanted to grow my hair like that but mine puffs out also

Frizz-Eze, or a small amount of Paul Mitchell Supercharged Conditioner applied after a shower. That stuff is amazing. My hair is about the texture of deer fur and gets really unruly if I let it grow any longer than a grown-out high-and-tight. Paul has tamed it.

lol at the topic, but it tis a good one...

so i'm pretty sure that i'm in the same boat hair type wise as you, i have very very thick and full hair, so if it gets too long as in more than 2", then it gets really puffy and like a fro...

i usually keep it pretty short and use a styling putty (you can find it at walgreens for about $5), that way it can make it do what i want and it doesn't look all puffy, plus it only takes like a half minute to put on!

thx for those tips. So you put the conditioner / leave a little in after the shower?

Yeah, I did it yesterday...but that's only when I don't plan to dry it or try to do anything with it. I'd never get it styled right if I tried to style it with conditioner left in it.

Got up this morning and took a shower and just rinsed it out, and blew it dry like normal. Really cuts down on the wild hair.
