Im from woodstock up near UConn. Where did you buy your mp3? I have just blwon off morande in manchester because they were demanding over msrp for my mazdaspeed and am now dealing with modern in waterbury which is a haul but they seem really great. Whats the down low on your experience with CT mazda dealers?
I live in East Haven. I arrived on the MP3 scene rather late and so there were very few to be found. I first saw and drove an MP3 at Partyka Mazda in Hamden. They were demanding $1500.00 over sticker and I refused. They insisted that they had the last one in the state and that they were sure they would sell the car for the higher price. I offered to buy it for sticker, but they refused.
I then called around and found mine (yellow) at Essex Valley Mazda in Essex. They accepted sticker and I was very happy with their dealership. I haven't been taking it there for service because it is too far away. I use Connecticut's Own Mazda in Milford. I have had good luck there with my RX-7 and so I figured I would take the MP3 there too.
I was looking at that blue MP3 at Partyka in October 2001 and I know it was still on the lot in May 2002. I was so glad they got stuck with it I used to drive by in my MP3 and called a few times to ask if it was still there. I guess they figured out who I was and one time when I called they called me an "asshole" and hung up on me. Oh well.
I've gotten some parts from Dworkin Mazda in Derby and they seem OK.
and let me know if you'd be able to come there, it'd be great!
It's a picnic meet so I'd need to know <for the site> your name, whatever small food thing you could bring to the picnic, and what town you're coming from..
