I was thinking about putting it behind the radio bezel.... being that i relocated my radio to below my Hvac controls and there will be an LCD there soon... So i think there might be room.... as long as the J and S does not generate too much heat.... I dont want to mount it out in the open cause some moron might think its an AMP and try to gank it.

Can this be mounted in the engine compartment? I am not sure if it needs a vacuum source, but sure it will tie into PCM wiring.

Not really, you just gotta angle it just right. It's finding that right angle that can be trying.

Don't do it. The one for our cars is NOT the marine weather-proof version. Mount it in the cabin.

I got mine under the cup holders. best place imo, because you cant spill anything onto it, and its hidden from touchy hands and prying eyes.

This is where I have mine mounted also with zip ties. I would not recommend the engine bay not with my $500.

Actually after looking at your pic again I thought I was looking at the center console section thru the inside of the glove box. I pulled out the glove box and mine is right up against the ac/heater blower thing. More room there. My F10 is under my cup holder. Plus you need a bit of clearance for the vac line to not get kinked or cut or pinched.
