A friend of mine just got a 350Z Track Edition, and has just ordered the NISMO Supercharger for it (taking it to 450HP!!!!). The thing is...it will still be covered by the Nissan Warranty. Awesome! A monster for under $40,000.

Are you 100% sure about that. It all depends which class it is under. If it is under the s-class then yes it is still covered. If it is under the R-class then it is not.
I know because I have a Spec-V and I am getting a header for it from Nismo.
Oh, and I just got to see a 350Z up close and not personal enough on Sunday. It was so freakin awesome! It is quite a beauty.

I'm sure of what he told me; that's all I know. Strange to me, too, that a Supercharger would be covered. S Class, R Class ? All I know is that he told me it was a NISMO Supercharger, and it hasn't yet been released. In a couple of months, he said.

He misses his 1990 425HP Twin Turbo 300ZX. Ain't life a b****??!!
(rofl)

Nismo classing goes like this:

S-class - street legal (inventive aren't they!)

R-class- racing/off-street only (again with those inventive ones)

Some dealers and other vendors for that matter are a little confused by Nismo because they say that they warrenty all Nismo parts on Nissans....blah blah blah blah blah
Just as any other car manufacter out there, if there is a freakin loop hole they will find!

inventive,,,yet straight forward! More companies could take something from that. :p

check mobile 1 (Mobil 1)

My understanding of Nismo performance parts is that they are not covered under warranty. Buddy of mine has a Spec-V and said that cosmetic stuff, like shift knobs, etc. are covered. But performance parts like the headers and intakes are not. So I would double check that warranty claim about the supercharger.

As for the guy who stated that he doesn't care about Greg's story. How ignorant can you be??? If you don't like a thread, skip it and move on. Why be a dick and rain on someone elses parade? You'd probably be a little more than annoyed if somebody did the same thing in a thread you started. It's common courtesy.

that is interesting about the 350Z. My friend just bought one and is looking at the stillen supercharger that puts it to 350 horse. But if the nismo supercharger will put it to 450 horse and still under warranty, I gotta tell him to check that out. Those are simply beautiful cars.

LOL!!! damn dex you are one crazy SOB....should have taken a camera with you....would have been funny to see them get scurred.....

I'm gonna order the Mazdaspeed...oh wait Mazdaspeed doesn't make any upgrades for our car.

..not yet, but others are! (thumb)

Yeah, but it would be cool if Mazdaspeed offered upgrades under warranty like some other companies.
