ShaunDarbie boots, Fogs and more

Just wanted to say thanks to Shaun for producing these boots for us. The fit was great and they are very well made with all the appropriate slits and cuts. Shaun was very professional and always there to answer questions.

I finally was able to get a hold of the G3 brackets secondhand from a member here but I hated the way they stuck out of the front lip so I modified the brackets in order to get them to sit flush and inside the lip opening. I think they look much nicer. Replaced the bulbs with silverstars so they match the headlights to a tee.

I also polished my heatshield last night so I threw in a pic of the engine bay. What a pain that was to get the heatshield off because of the O2 sensor.

I also took the car out of the garage today after it has sat for a few months so I snapped a few other pics.

Comments welcomed - good or bad.

Meaning they don't look like they belong?

That's what I like about the 03.5 lip. With the modifications I made to the brackets, I can take them off and slap the grill inserts back in and no one would ever notice they were there.

For the heatshield I used a 6 inch grinder with a polished wheel on it. I used the white polishing compound on the wheel and made about 4-5 passes.

I understand Dominoy - different strokes for different folks. This is the first time that I have seen the car out of the garage since I put them on so I never had a chance to step back and see what they looked like until today. Hopefully I'll still like them in a few weeks.

Looks good, but they look a little crooked.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I just tested the fogs out against my garage and they are virtually on the same vertical plane as my headlights.

Hey what kind of FMIC do you have?

hey nice motor. like the shine. what kind of oil catch can is that? greddy?

peace

L8R, the oil catch can is the redesigned GReddy, the coolant reservoir is the Pirahna (spelling?) can.

Brian, trust me, it wasn't without its issues. I was the first in the US to order his system for the MSP and it took 4 months to get with excuse after excuse. He also owes me money because I was overcharged but I have given up on that because I know I'll never see it. I was also missing a few couplers from the kit and I never received the FCD.
