Seriously considering.

do you think its the hot air thats the stumble or the temp sensor cuasing a increased fuel dump when its not needed.

i fell ya i am too sick of this s***. but i am in the progress of ordering the fpr kit from Joe seems like this is a small price to pay for all positve feed back from the people who have it installed on their MSP's

Thne Issue is the K&N, The cooling fan/wind itself, is throwing HOT ASS AIR into it, thus, creating the stumbling. Trust me, I have dyno proof my prother.

You can see where the cooling fans kick on, and the loss of torque. A heat shield shoud fix alot of the issue, or relocating the K&N further by the headlight.

My K&N is still in place (until a CAI or short intake), and with the kit (FP), my MBC (not that this has anything to do with the stumble fix).....my stumble is gone.

Im going to try mounting my temp sensor on my roof to see if it gets rid of the stumble.

Greg, you are a lucky man.

Hmm

Man I hate hear this I was driving like a maniac on the way home yesterday and it ran fine. I never ever have had my car hesitate. I feel for you guys my runs almost perfect. I am almost afraid to put on my K&N.

I drive about 100 miles a day in traffic and it has been in the mid 80's to upper 90's and I have had no problems in the heat. It does lose a bit of pull but all in all it runs well. I do get a very small pusle above 4500RPM at WOT in 3rd and 4th gear but it is hardly noticable. I would have been the terror of my dealer if my car ran as bad as yall's cars do. I hope it get's straightened out.

It's barely noticeable at WOT, the problem occurs at partial throttle.

If only I could tool around at WOT all the time!

I feel the same way as you turbo3wagon. I have CAI, and FP kit. Somedays the problem feels 10 times worse than others, and it isn't very consistent about when it does it. Almost ready for an STI or EVO, f*** the new RX8, who knows what kind of problems that new rotar engine has. I would think though, that increasing boost pressure would increase the amount of air going in and thus make the A/F not so rich. Maybe this is why AGR#7 has no more problems.

Rotary Power!

Im a Mazda fan man

Perhaps boost would help, but I dont want to have to pull all my mods off the day I need to service my car at the Stealership.

What a drag, been there, done that

I wish I could just jump into an STI or an EVO..but these are a lot more money than a MSP. I don't think I could go from a 20K car to a 35K+ car...

I think every new car has issues, but the MSP is still a great car and hopefully the problems will get resolved. I think things are getting better just need to have some patience...

But do whatever floats your boat...

FMIC, yes I am considering it but its a $900.00 investment and the results are still undetermined. I know it will run stronger if I get the charge temp to drop, but who can grantee me that the stumble will go away? Im not sure if I will to take that $900.00 plunge on a hunch.

Tell you what I will let you know when I get my in August. In fact I will post everything up when Spool is done with my car. Just try to be a little patient.......and I will let you know how all of it goes!!!

Sucks

Wow I have never experienced that. I would be quite livid really.
Well hopefully this mythical flash fixes yours but mine aint getting flashed period. Well unless it actually makes the car run better i.e. more POWA!
:D

yea, whoever gets flashed first, dyno before and after!

ill even take up a collection on the board here to cover your costs
