I will be banging around Pacific Raceway this weekend for the SCCA Majors if anyone wants to stop by and say hello. Look for the big transporter with the Mx5s on the side to locate me in the pits.
Interesting weekend running the Mazda 2 at Pacific raceway. I was able to borrow an AIM Solo DL from a friend and the data in those things are crazy helpful. We found a spot on the track which I was driving poorly. After looking at the information I was able to drop 2 seconds off my lap times.
I also was able to double dip to get more track time and I ran STL both days which was fun. I was able to get 4th place in that group.
The AIM stuff is amazing. And, they keep developing and improving. The problem is that you need a full-time data scraper to benefit the most.
We've used their add-on GPS systems many times. I just need to learn how to use it better. A friend is sending me his race data from Grattan to analyze (Hhhmm, Does coffee or beer work better when looking at the data?)

We had two cars with the Aim equipment so we could do data overlay and see who was better where. When you lines up the sessions they were really close to each other except for 1 spot which is where I made up the time at. I am totally sold on these now.
