Well, honestly, I wouldn't want to pull my 50 thousand dollar Jeep into my parents' garage every night.

you always got an answer for somethin phil. Look I'm buying a GTO or something nice for myself wh cares weither its park in my parents garage or mine.. I will buy a condo/apartment when its time..

remember im not a big boy yet so I can't handle the responsibility of a house/apartment...

When it's time? Laff. You get no return on a vehicle, financially. You will always lose, unless you figure you'll never drive the car and let it be worth something in 30 years or so.


You seem to act like you have money to burn, so why not invest in a condo or something? You sound like you have enough cash in hand to make a reasonable downpayment, no?

I'm not saying I robbed a bank but its not like I'm working minium wage either..

I have some bonds laying around that haven't been cashed for school.. I have a interview tomorrow and have a 99.9% chance of getting this job that pays a lot better then what I'm making now.. so who knows what I will buy. as for a condo I will wait till next summer to drop 12,000 as a down payment... I just don't feel ready to make that step.

Those people out there with an adequate car and a nice house will have the last laugh when you're paying rent money for some ****hole studio. Oh wait, but you'd have a sweet car, right?


I don't see how if you can spend the money one way or the other, why you wouldn't either save and wait for the right time to get a place, making due with your current car, or just jump right in and get a starter home.


P.S. Good one on the "mom" joke. You been trying to think of that one since I started posting?

I have to agree with mom on this one. **** your ONLY 21 you have many more years from now to own anything the **** you want. s*** maby in ten years you can own a hover car. but if your thinking you can have both then start remodeling your parents basment know. and if shes talking about kids and your talking about wasting (because thats what you do when you buy a car) money on a car instead of using the perfictly fine car you have know (a cracked wisheild is a s*** ADD excuse to get rid of it) is just mean. mean to her and your kids since they would have to be rased in their grand parients basment instead in there own bedroom because there dad has now a 10 year old peice of s*** GTO. mean matt mean.

having a nice garage to park an adequate car in.

yeah that one guy was right. it is your money and you can spend it like you want. but I just wish someone would have shown me that I would be the last of all my freinds still in a appt, while everyone else has a townhome or home and I have a P5, trailer, superduty with power stroke, and neighbors tattling to the managment that I am working on my car (grounds for eviction). but yeah another toy to rust away in the chicago salt (rockon) go for it!


as for the turbo, count me out. all this money talk makes me think that i need to save for spring (thats when im buying a home), it might need stuff like a washer dryer and random un seen stuff. sorry but it dosent seem it will slow you down

eh spoke with a friend who works at a collision shop.. going to get back to me on an estimate for the window.. she said I'm lookin at 250 for the window + Install I took the day off work as well got a interview today so we will see how that goes..
