Rook rack options for SUP?

2015 Mazda CX-5 Sport
So, just got a new 2015 CX-5 after driving my truck for 17 years, and now I have to figure how to tie my 10' SUP board on the top now. I already have the roof rails, so at a minimum I need to get crossbars. Looks like quite a few options out there, I am just wondering if anyone who ties a SUP to the roof on a regular basis on their CX-5 had any good suggestions? Thanks in advance!

We have the stock Mazda crossbars - they whistle a bit. If you move the crossbars all the way to the rear, per the instructions, the whistling is minimized, but it's still there - plus it looks goofy.

Two options that might work, and avoid the whistling crossbar syndrome:

1) Put the board in a padded board bag, if you have one, and just use the crossbars to strap it down right on the roof.
2) Get one of those foam noodles that they use in swimming pools, one with a hole down the center. Cut it in half, and thread one strap through each half. Strap to the roof rails, with the board on top of the foam noodle and the strap over the top of the board.

I bought the Thule crossracks to carry my pontoon boat, the Mazda roofracks would not have been wide enough.
