Reserved the last BEGI kit today.

Yes, I noticed the same thing, but it wasn't that big of problem. I just pray it doesn't come loose because the bottom clamp onthat puppy is HARD to get to!!!

But the worst are the manifold studs.. OMG.. I need to tighten the bottom bolts and they are impossible to get to unless you take the turbo and downpipe off.... That iwll be a day project.

Linux where's your oil leak?

I originaly had one from the pre installed fitting for the oil line on the top of the turbo. I just gave it another 360 degree turn. It ripped out one of the brass threads but it doesn't leak any more either.

Mine is coming from the oil return line at the turbo! It is opposite the line you had a problem with. I am beginning to wonder if it is the line, or the fitting!

Well, I just put my car back together again! I'm getting good at this s***! Anyways, we'll see how it acts now!

Wow... So what's the deal? You still have leaks? Concerns? Anxieties? Phobias? hehe

I'll be going to 8psi tonight-a little scared. I'll probably first go to 7 and see how it goes and then decide upon 8 or not.

Gosh... I really whish us westcoasters didn't get bent over as far as the gas goes. Does anyone know how it's decided which states get dirt gas and which get gods nectar? :p

On paper it looks easy-but the bolt you have to turn isn't at an easy place to get to. Read the installation instructions-they tell you right where it is.

I am aware i have read those instructionclose to 200 times now. I ment how long does it actualy take to do and do you only have to djust the one nut or dou you have to unbolt alot of crap to get to it.

Yikes bro.. No need to bite my headoff :( :wtf:

I'm not sure, I haven't modified my boost yet. I'll let you know in a few hours though. I think I'll be able to get to it alright. It will just take some time turning that bolt and then tuning it with corkies boost guage to make sure I'm where I need to be.

Corky mentioned there was more to it then just moving that one nut. He said you have to unhook the waste gate arm all together.

Well the oil leak is still there! After pulling off the oil return line, cuting off the end, and re-clamping it, it still leaks! I am now convinced that it is a brass fitting, or a gasket on the turbo (on the oil return side) that may be leaking. There goes another day of work!

I have been smelling coolant burn for some time now but there was never enough to find it. Finialy got it yestureday. Turned out somehow one of the clamps wans't tight enough on the water line at the turbo. This is weird becuase i used a wratched to secure everything. Either way its fixxed now. Just make sure to wratchet all clamps on and don't strip them out. I check all my studs and nuts too. nothing loose at all. The high temp locktite is keeping it together very well.

Just curious since I am doing mine all custom..

how much is locktite, where can I pick it up and is it effective? (other than piece of mind)

Mine wasn't called locktight, but it worked none the less. Basicly its thread lock / sealer. You can get it at any good auto parts store but make sure you get the highest heat resitance stuff they have. I used alot of it and unlike some others I haven't had any bolts even slightly let up.

I found out the source of my oil leak. I contacted BEGI and told them about the problem. They say that they had a customer that had an oil leak fixed, and it leaked again. It turned out to be the gasket on the oil-return side of the turbo. They shipped me a new one, free of charge, that will be here Monday! After this leak is fixed, the sky's the limit!!!

ah ok now i understand. thanks yous. also was it hadr to run the oil lines? and were did you tap to get the oil? oil pan?
