I don't know if they have improved it, but I've found the range limited. It's fine to start when it's in the garage attached to my house. Other times, I've tried starting it when it's been parked outside at various places, sometimes it starts, sometimes it doesn't, and sometimes it reads out it didn't start, but it did. I like the systems that work off an app on the phone. My friends that have cars with that system seem to not have problems.
